How to Read the Casino Bonus Codes in Our List
Each card pairs the offer's key terms with live feedback from players who claimed it. Checking both takes seconds and tells you more than the casino codes alone.
What Each Bonus Card Shows
Here's how I read a card:
| Card element |
What it tells you |
| Promo code / "No code needed" |
Whether you need one; click Reveal to see and copy it. |
| Minimum deposit |
Smallest qualifying deposit; "No Deposit" means none. |
| Wagering requirements |
Play-through needed before withdrawing, e.g. 35x. |
| Available in your region |
Whether it's shown as available where you are. |
| Verified by / Checked on |
The editor and date of the last check. |
| "X of Y users say it Worked" |
Live votes from players who claimed it. |
| Works in β¦ countries / Popular in Canada (%) |
How many countries it was claimed from; Canada's share of activity. |
| Casino rating (Excellent, Good, Average, Poor) |
Built from expert evaluation, regional fit, user reviews and bonus quality (how we rate casinos). |
| Show T&C |
Key terms to read before claiming. |
| Report an issue |
Lets you flag an outdated code or term. |
| Featured partner |
Labelled paid placement; no effect on the bonus score (affiliate disclosure). |
What the Bonus Score Labels Mean
Labels sum up the votes using these thresholds:
| Label |
Player votes |
Wilson score |
What it means for you |
| Verified |
30 or more |
0.50 or higher |
Most say it worked, on plenty of votes. |
| Gaining popularity |
3β29 |
0.55 or higher |
Strong early approval; still collecting votes. |
| Gathering data |
Fewer than 3 |
β |
New bonus; too few votes to judge. |
| Uncertain |
30 or more |
0.30β0.49 |
Mixed reports; read the T&Cs closely. |
| Low quality |
30 or more |
Below 0.30 |
Most players reported problems. |
The score uses the Wilson score lower bound, a statistical method that weighs both the share of positive votes and how many there are. A bonus with 5 votes can't outrank one with 600 on percentage alone; see how bonus scores work for the method.
Once you claim a bonus, vote on its card. Each vote makes the label more reliable.
Casino Bonus Codes in Canada: Who Can Claim
You can claim if you meet your province's minimum age and the casino accepts players from your region. Gambling in Canada is regulated by each province rather than nationally, so the age rule depends on where you live:
| Province |
Minimum age |
| British Columbia |
19 |
| Alberta |
18 |
| Saskatchewan |
19 |
| Manitoba |
18 |
| Ontario |
19 |
| Quebec |
18 |
| New Brunswick |
19 |
| Nova Scotia |
19 |
| Prince Edward Island |
19 |
| Newfoundland and Labrador |
19 |
Each casino decides which regions it accepts and lists restricted ones in its T&Cs. The Available in your region label on our cards lets you check this at a glance before you weigh up casino bonus offers.
Register with your real details, because casinos verify identity and age through KYC checks, usually before your first withdrawal. If an offer isn't available where you live, I'd pick another one from the list rather than sign up anyway.
How to Compare Casino Bonus Offers by Real Value
Look past the headline percentage or amount: it says the least about real value. Value comes down to 3 things: what the wagering applies to, which games count toward it, and the caps. I'd start with the wagering base, which is easy to overlook when you scan bonus codes for online casinos.
Wagering on the Bonus vs Deposit + Bonus
A 35x wagering requirement can apply to the bonus only or to the deposit plus the bonus. With a 100% match like the one below, the second option doubles the play you need:
| Example: C$100 deposit + C$100 bonus, 35x |
Wagering on bonus only |
Wagering on deposit + bonus |
| Required play |
C$3,500 |
C$7,000 |
| Average cost of play at 96% RTP (4% house edge) |
β C$140 |
β C$280 |
These figures are long-run averages for illustration; real results vary in both directions.
When 2 offers look similar, the one with wagering on the bonus only, or a lower multiplier, usually gives more value. The Wager filter narrows the list to No wagering, Low (1β20x), Medium (20β40x) or High (40β70x) offers, and our page of no-wagering bonuses collects offers without play-through.
The Bonus Calculator on this page runs the numbers for any card. Switch it between "Bonus Amount Only" and "Deposit & Bonus Amount" to test either base.
Other Terms That Change a Bonus's Value
Beyond the wagering base, 4 terms decide how much of a bonus you can actually use.
Game Contribution
Slots usually count 100% toward wagering, while table and live dealer games often count less or are excluded. Check the eligible games list in Show T&C before you pick a game.
Max Bet While Wagering
Most bonuses cap your stake per spin or bet until wagering is complete. Going over that cap can cancel the bonus and its winnings, so check the exact figure in the T&Cs.
Max Cashout
Some offers, especially no-deposit bonuses, limit how much of the winnings you can withdraw. Anything above the cap is removed at withdrawal. Our guide to cashable no deposit bonuses covers withdrawable offers and the limits that still apply.
Expiry and Minimum Deposit
Bonuses have time limits, both to claim them and to finish wagering. The qualifying deposit can also be higher than the casino's usual minimum, and the card shows the amount.
Free Online Casino Bonus Codes: How No-Deposit Offers Work
No deposit bonus codes give you free spins or a free chip without making a deposit. The spins are free; the winnings come with conditions. Here's how the 2 formats compare:
| Detail |
Free spins |
Free chip |
| What you get |
A set number of spins at a fixed value on named slots |
A fixed bonus amount for eligible games |
| Where you can use it |
Only on the slot or slots named in the offer |
On the games listed as eligible in the T&Cs |
| Terms to check |
Spin value, eligible slot, wagering, max cashout, expiry |
Eligible games, wagering, max cashout, expiry |
As an example, 50 spins at C$0.10 each have a face value of C$5. Working out face value this way makes spin offers of different sizes easier to compare.
Some casinos ask you to verify your phone, email or ID before the spins are credited or before a withdrawal. The T&Cs usually say which step applies.
I see these codes as the best way to try a casino's games, payments and support before you deposit. The No Deposit filter narrows the list to them, and our guides to no deposit bonuses and free chip bonuses go into more detail.
How to Use a Bonus Code at an Online Casino
A casino bonus code works when you enter it in the right place at the right time; for deposit offers, that means before the payment goes through. Here's how to get it right the first time.
Code or No Code Needed
If the card shows a code, copy it with Reveal. Then enter it exactly where the casino asks: the registration form, the cashier before you confirm the deposit, or the bonus section of your account. When it comes to bonus codes, online casino cashiers may call the field "promo code" or "bonus code".
If the card says "No code needed", the bonus is added automatically or through an opt-in box at the cashier; if you see the box, tick it before you pay. Either way, I recommend using the card's Play now button, so you land on the offer described.
Step by Step
This is the order I'd follow:
Open Show T&C on the card and check region, minimum deposit, wagering and eligible payment methods.
Reveal and copy the code, then click Play now.
Register with your real details.
Enter the code or tick the opt-in before you confirm the qualifying deposit.
Check the bonus appears in your balance before your first bet; if not, contact support before playing.
Complete ID verification early, then come back and vote on whether the bonus worked.
Casino Bonus Code Not Working? Quick Fixes
Most casino bonus code problems come from timing, typing or the payment method, and they're usually quick to fix. Find your symptom below:
| Problem |
Likely cause |
What to do |
| "Invalid code" |
A typo or extra space, or the promotion has ended |
Paste the code instead of typing it; check the "Checked on" date; use Report an issue. |
| Deposit went through, no bonus |
Code entered after the deposit, or opt-in not ticked |
Contact support before you play. |
| No bonus after an e-wallet deposit |
Some casinos exclude e-wallets (e.g. Skrill, Neteller) from bonuses |
Check the excluded-methods clause; use an eligible method for the qualifying deposit. |
| "Not available in your region" |
The offer is restricted in your region |
Check the card label and the casino's T&Cs. |
| "Bonus already claimed" |
A limit of 1 bonus per person, household, IP address or device |
Ask support; never open a second account. |
| Bonus removed during play |
Max bet exceeded, excluded game played, or the bonus expired |
Check the T&Cs before your next session. |
| Withdrawal smaller than balance |
Max cashout applied, or ID verification pending |
Read the cap; verify your ID early. |
If a fix doesn't help, tell us through Report an issue and vote on the card. Both keep the list accurate for every player.

Payment Methods, CAD and Bonus Eligibility
Your payment method and account currency can decide whether a bonus is credited at all, so settle both before the qualifying deposit:
- Interac is a common deposit method in Canada, and the Payment methods filter shows offers that accept it.
- Many casinos exclude e-wallet deposits such as Skrill or Neteller from welcome bonuses, so check the excluded-methods clause before the qualifying deposit.
- Crypto bonuses often have their own terms, and the CAD value of a crypto balance moves with the market.
- Choose CAD at registration where it's offered, to avoid currency conversion on each transaction.
For a closer look at each option, see our overview of casino deposit methods.
Casino Bonus Promotions for Existing Players
Casino bonus promotions continue after the welcome offer, and returning players can usually choose from 4 main types:
- Reload bonuses add a match to later deposits.
- Free spins promotions give extra spins on selected slots.
- Cashback returns a share of your losses over a set period.
- Loyalty and VIP rewards grow with your activity, as points or perks.
Before you deposit for a casino bonus promo, note the day it runs and its minimum deposit, as reload codes are often tied to both. With cashback, a smaller amount paid as cash with no wagering is often worth more than a larger one paid as bonus funds with wagering. Check which kind you get.
To find reload casino bonus promos, choose Reload Bonus in the Bonus Type filter, or browse our bonuses for existing players.
Casino Bonus Codes FAQ
If you have any specific questions, please message us.
-
Do I Pay Tax on Casino Bonus Winnings in Canada?
-
Usually not. The Canada Revenue Agency generally treats recreational gambling and lottery winnings as windfalls, so they aren't taxed unless you carry on a business of gambling. Income you earn by investing the winnings, such as interest, is taxable, as CRA Income Tax Folio S3-F9-C1 explains. This is general information, not tax advice.
-
Can I Use Two Bonus Codes at the Same Time?
-
Usually not. Casinos typically allow 1 active bonus at a time, and a new code may replace or cancel the one you already have. If you're partway through wagering, check the casino's T&Cs before entering a second code, so you don't lose your progress.
-
Can I Claim the Same Code More Than Once?
-
It depends on the bonus type. Welcome and no-deposit codes are normally limited to 1 per person, household, IP address or device. Reload codes can be repeatable if the T&Cs say so. Opening a second account to reuse a code usually voids bonuses.
-
Why Did a Bonus Score Change?
-
Because new votes keep coming in. The score is recalculated with every vote and refreshed in the background every 15β30 minutes, and all votes count cumulatively. A falling score often signals that the casino changed the terms and recent players are reporting a different experience.
-
Do Featured Partner Offers Get a Higher Score?
-
No. Featured placements are paid and clearly labelled, but they have no effect on the bonus score. The score is calculated only from player votes, with the same formula for every casino, and there is no paid way to raise it.
Play Within Your Limits
A bonus is entertainment with conditions, not a way to earn money. Before you claim one, I recommend setting deposit, loss or session limits in your casino account.
If play stops feeling like fun, free information and support are available from the Responsible Gambling Council, and Ontario residents can also contact ConnexOntario. Our rules of responsible gambling, help resources and self-assessment test can help you keep play in check.
